| Golden West Publishers emerged from a blending of books and food in 1974, when Al and Mildred Fischer, both schoolteachers, began collecting recipes in their spare time. Their first book, Arizona Cook Book was sold from the tailgate of their station wagon on weekends. The success of this book, having surpassed its 13th printing, with over 350,000 copies sold, led them to create a series of cookbooks on the Southwest. 2004 marked Golden West Publishers' 30th year of presenting unique and informative books to the public. Their son, Bruce, who began helping out in the business at an early age, is now owner with his wife, Bobbi, and today Golden West books are distributed throughout the United States. Director of Operations, Sherry Randell, has been with the company for more than 15 years and says, "Our staff loves their work and our customers. We look forward to another 30 years of publishing cookbooks, Southwest adventure books and more!" The "more" she is referring to is Golden West's continuing expansion and fresh growth. Our new line of Just Point and Communicate™ books help people communicate with each other. Look for other exciting books in 2008!
